Foundations are being reinforced in Minsk's Pishchalovsky Castle
In Minsk, a large-scale reconstruction of Pishchalovsky Castle in the city center — the building of the former pre-trial detention center No. 1 on Valadarskaha Street — continues. On August 14, Minsk City Executive Committee Chairman Uladzimir Kukharau held a working meeting at the site, reports the Minsk-Novosti agency.

The main works are currently focused on the construction of a new building No. 3 according to the master plan, as well as on the reconstruction of the two-story building No. 2, which has the status of a historical and cultural heritage site and whose facade faces Valadarskaha Street.
The walls of this building have already been enclosed in temporary metal structures to reinforce their load-bearing capacity. Demolition is being carried out inside, and the foundations are being strengthened. In addition, specialists have begun reinforcing the foundations of Pishchalovsky Castle itself.
After the completion of the reconstruction, the castle territory, which will turn 200 years old in 2025, should be transformed into a multifunctional complex.
It is planned to integrate the territory on Valadarskaha Street into the general urban space and make it part of the excursion route through the historical center of Minsk.
