Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles, dropped aerial bombs on Zaporizhzhia
On the night of August 16, Russian troops launched another massive attack on the territory of Ukraine, using ballistic missiles and attack drones. Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Kamianske, and Kremenchuk came under fire, while Russian aviation dropped guided aerial bombs on Zaporizhzhia.
In Kyiv, a large fire broke out in the Obolonsky district on the territory of the well-known book market "Petrivka". In addition, several non-residential buildings and parked cars nearby were damaged. According to reports from city authorities and rescuers, three people were injured as a result of the shelling of the Ukrainian capital.
Tragic consequences occurred in the Zaporizhzhia district, which Russian troops attacked with aerial bombs. One of the strikes hit a private house in the village of Viktorivka, killing a 66-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman. Another aerial bomb damaged a residential building in the village of Mykhailivske, where a 39-year-old local resident was injured.
