Kamilla Bartone, according to public data, no longer represents Latvia in the international arena.

24-year-old tennis player Kamilla Bartone has likely changed her sports representation from Latvia to Belarus. This is indicated by changes in her profiles on the websites of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and the International Tennis Federation (ITF), writes bb.lv.

Although Latvia is no longer listed as the athlete's country, in the source code of Bartone's pages, she is indicated as a Belarusian tennis player. Meanwhile, representatives of Belarus and Russia continue to compete in WTA and ITF tournaments under a neutral status.

Further confirmation of the possible changes came with Bartone's appearance in the ranking of the Belarusian Tennis Federation. Minsk is listed there as her training location.

Judging by the athlete's Instagram Stories, she has primarily been in Belarus in recent months. Last weekend, Bartone also participated in one of the local tennis tournaments. As of yet, there has been no official statement regarding the change in sports representation.

Ivan Kuzavenkov, Secretary General of the Latvian Tennis Union, stated that the federation has not been in contact with the tennis player since winter and has not received information about such a decision.

Kamilla Bartone currently holds the 808th place in the WTA world ranking. She has not competed in professional tournaments since mid-May.
