Basic rate to increase to 300 rubles
From September 1, the basic rate used to calculate salaries for public sector employees in Belarus will increase. Its size will grow from the current 297 to 300 rubles. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Alexander Turchyn.

The increase will be 3 rubles, or slightly more than 1%. Not only public sector salaries but also various incentive and compensatory payments are tied to the basic rate, so their amounts will also increase accordingly from September 1.
Previously, the basic rate was increased on January 1, when it rose from 273 to 297 rubles.
