Farewell to Milinkevich to take place in Warsaw on Saturday, August 22
It will be possible to say goodbye to the politician in Warsaw's main Catholic church, and he will be buried in the Powązki Military Cemetery.

Aliaksandr Milinkevich, the 2006 Belarusian presidential candidate, will be buried in Poland at a state level. Funeral ceremonies will take place on Saturday, August 22.
From 10 AM, the coffin will be placed in St. John the Baptist Archcathedral — Warsaw's main Catholic church. At 12 PM, a mass will be held there.
Aliaksandr Milinkevich will be buried at 3 PM at the Powązki Military Cemetery.
Among others, many who died in the struggle for Poland's independence are buried in this cemetery. A monument to the victims of the Smolensk plane crash is also located there.
Aliaksandr Milinkevich died on August 11, 2026. He was 79 years old.
