Hunters in Belarus killed a very rare black wolf
In the Iŭjeŭ hunting estate in Hrodna region, hunters killed a wolf with a unique charcoal-black coat color for Belarus.
For Belarusian forests, black fur in wolves is a great rarity, as the local population usually has a gray or reddish-brown color. Scientists call such animals melanists.
