The entire procedure took place within one day and included several stages. First, a stent was inserted into the patient's external iliac artery through a puncture.
After that, surgeons removed atherosclerotic plaques from an important section of the femoral artery and installed a special "Biocard" patch.
As a result, doctors managed to fully restore blood flow in the vessels of the left leg.
