The boxer gifted Zelenskyy an unusual American Pit Bull Terrier puppy — the girl was named Freya. Her grandfather, a dog named Athos, once survived the Russian occupation of Bucha.
The name for the puppy was chosen for a reason. Freya is named in honor of the future FREYJA air defense system, which is being developed with Ukraine's participation. It is intended to become a reliable means of defense against ballistic missiles.
