Gothic Castle-Like Gate of Puslowski Estate to be Restored in Peski
In Beryoza district, repairs are planned for the northern gate of the historic Puslowski estate. However, a restoration project will not be developed for this.

The tender application for the development of the work program was noticed by the Telegram channel "Spadchyna". The document on the public procurement portal was published by the Center for Support of Budget Organizations' Activities of Beryoza district.
According to the documentation, the monument requires replacement of plaster and paint layer over an area of more than 400 square meters. Specialists also recorded partial destruction of the brickwork of the walls and plinth. The program must be developed within 20 working days, and the funding for the construction works themselves will come from the local rural budget.
Since the works are classified as current repairs, this allows not developing project documentation: for carrying out such works on Category 3 monuments, only a work program approved by the local executive committee is sufficient.
The northern gate in the agro-town of Peski was built in the 1830s-1840s by Frantz Puslowski. The structure is made in castle-Gothic style. It consists of two monumental round towers with crenellated tops, between which there is a wide pointed arched passage with an imitation of a raised portcullis-harrow on chains. Additionally, the object is decorated with low guardhouses on the sides, arcature friezes, and narrow loop-hole windows.
The gate served as one of the ceremonial entrances to the Puslowski manor-park complex, which was formed from the end of the 18th century on the shore of Lake Chornaye. After the main stone palace burned down in 1843, the owners were forced to adapt a wooden stable building for living. Because of this, the entrance gates remained one of the most expressive architectural dominants of the entire complex, preserved to this day.
