In Belarus, record warm weather was recorded on September 9. This was reported by the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

A maximum temperature of 31.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at the Brest station. Overall, on this day, daily records for maximum air temperature were broken at 21 weather stations.
Records were updated across the entire territory of Grodno and Brest regions, at one weather station in Vitebsk, Mogilev, and Gomel regions, and at 5 weather stations in Minsk region. And at the "Minsk" weather station, the 1932 record was broken (in that year, the thermometer in the capital rose to 27.4 degrees Celsius). In Minsk, on September 9, 2026, the maximum air temperature was 28 degrees Celsius.
