Garbage truck fatally runs over a person in Dzyarzhynsk district
In Dzyarzhynsk district, a 50-year-old pedestrian was killed under the wheels of a garbage truck. The accident occurred on September 11, around 14:40, on Lugovaya Street in the village of Vishnyovka, reports the UGAI of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.
A 55-year-old driver of a MAZ garbage truck was moving in reverse and ran over a man who was behind the vehicle.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.
The Traffic Police (GAI) reminded drivers that reversing is allowed only if it does not create obstacles for other road users and safety is guaranteed. If necessary, drivers are recommended to ask for help from other people who can monitor the situation behind the vehicle and give appropriate signals.
