Trump announced CIA Director's involvement in resolving the conflict in Ukraine

The head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), John Ratcliffe, is involved in all aspects of negotiations for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, President Donald Trump stated aboard Air Force One en route from Ireland to the US.
"Ratcliffe is doing an excellent job. He is involved in everything," the American leader told reporters.
Trump also emphasized that his special envoy Steve Whitkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner are also "doing an excellent job" as negotiators.
On September 9, the Financial Times reported, citing American officials, that Ratcliffe was preparing to take on a more prominent role in US negotiations with Russia and Ukraine.
According to the newspaper, he could join shuttle diplomacy between Moscow and Kyiv, while the involvement of Whitkoff and Kushner might decrease.
CIA spokeswoman Liz Lyons soon refuted the publication. The White House also denied the FT article about changes in the composition of negotiators with Russia.
