"Lakafarba" and "Bellesbumprom" Excluded from US Sanctions Lists
On September 17, 2026, the US excluded JSC "Lakafarba" and the concern "Bellesbumprom" from the list of individuals and entities sanctioned by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury (OFAC).

Thus, the American side fulfilled the promise given after the visit of US President's special envoy John Cole to Minsk on September 16.
Following this visit, 25 political prisoners were released. In return, the US promised to lift sanctions from two Belarusian companies — namely "Lakafarba" and "Bellesbumprom".
