Belshina to start producing tires for electric cars
JSC Belshina is developing new tires for electric vehicles. The enterprise plans to launch them into serial production by February 2027. This was reported by Yury Rusetski, director of the mass tire plant, to sb.by.

According to Rusetski, the enterprise constantly improves the structural characteristics of its products. Currently, specialists are working on a tire for electric vehicles, the development of which requires ensuring a number of specific structural parameters.
It is planned to produce tires with diameters of 19 and 20 inches. Typically, the development of a new model and its preparation for serial production take about half a year. Therefore, the enterprise expects to master the production of new tires and launch them into series by February 2027. For Belshina, this will be a new direction, and the result depends on the work of the designers.
Yury Rusetski also reported that over the past ten years, the enterprise has mastered the production of more than 60 new tire models for passenger and cargo transport.
Currently, Belshina produces more than 200 tire models, of which 120 are intended for passenger cars. The enterprise employs 1540 people, and production operates around the clock.
Belshina's share in the domestic market has also grown in recent years. While previously it did not exceed 25%, now, according to the plant director, it has approached 50%.
