The fire in the building of the defense company Milrem Robotics was deliberate arson, organized on the orders of Russian special services. This was reported by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, writes Novaya Gazeta Europe.
According to the Foreign Minister, the Estonian authorities view what happened as part of a broader Russian campaign in Europe, the aim of which is to intimidate European countries and weaken their support for Ukraine.
On September 29, the Estonian Foreign Ministry summoned Russia's interim chargé d'affaires, Lenar Salimullin. The Kremlin rejected the accusations, calling them "groundless".
The fire occurred on the night of August 15 on Betani street in Tallinn. The fire was quickly extinguished, and there were no casualties. Three Latvian citizens were detained in connection with the case.
Milrem Robotics produces unmanned ground military equipment. The AFU use its tracked THeMIS platforms.
