Resident of Mozyr rented out other people's apartments in Minsk
Several residents and guests of the capital contacted the Minsk police, having become victims of fraud when trying to rent an apartment for a long term. On suspicion of fraud, operatives detained a 33-year-old resident of Mozyr.

As it turned out, the woman posted apartment rental ads online and used other people's photos, taken from open sources. She actively corresponded with potential tenants, but for various contrived reasons, she postponed apartment viewings. Sometimes she brought people to an apartment where she herself lived, although she had no intention of renting it out.
When potential tenants agreed to the proposed terms, the woman demanded that they immediately transfer or hand over a prepayment to her personally – even before signing the contract and handing over the keys. After receiving the money, she stopped making contact.
Criminal cases have been initiated against the suspect. The total amount of established damage exceeded 2 thousand rubles.
Two other potential tenants timely suspected deception, did not transfer money, and immediately contacted the police. Checks are being conducted on these facts.
