They promise that the break will be short — until November 1.

The Consular Department of the Romanian Embassy in Minsk has again suspended the issuance of visas to Belarusians, reports the Telegram channel "Visa Mole" citing an announcement posted on the embassy building's doors.

They promise that the break will be short — until November 1.

This is already the third pause in visa operations for 2026. The Romanian Embassy did not accept documents from February to April, and then again suspended work from May to August. According to sources, these processes are related to changes in consuls, writes Onliner.by.

Romania joined the Schengen zone just over two years ago, in March 2024. From April of the same year, the consulate began accepting applications for tourist visas. The news delighted Belarusians, but quite quickly, rumors spread that the diplomatic mission was not going to be generous: available dates for appointments are rare, requirements are numerous, visa validity periods are short, and the probability of refusal is quite real.

By 2026, the situation, according to experts, has practically not changed: even if you are truly going to Romania and can confirm it, you should hardly expect anything more than a single-entry visa.
