The publishing initiative SayBeat has announced the release of a collection of selected works "Human Tragiccomedy" by the cult Czech "cursed philosopher", Nietzschean, "egodeist" Ladislav Klíma (1878—1928), translated by Maks Shchur.

According to contemporaries' recollections, Franz Kafka said about Klíma:

"He is a Master; if he had written in one of the great languages of the world, he would have achieved universal recognition."

The selected works include Klíma's early writings, the novella "The Famous Nemesis," the short story "What Happens After Death," the play "Human Tragiccomedy," a sketch for the play "Hussites," "Autobiography," and aphorisms.

Pre-orders are open until the end of October. The discounted price of the book is 12 dollars + shipping cost, volume — 400 pages, with photos, softcover. The book can be ordered here.

The presentation of Ladislav Klíma's book "Human Tragiccomedy" with the participation of translator Maks Shchur and Czech literary scholar Jana Koliašava will take place at the final Prague part of the Pradmova intellectual book festival on November 1.
