The case of Belshina employees accused of corruption has been sent to court.
The Prosecutor General's Office has submitted to court a criminal case against nine employees of the Bobruisk enterprise "Belshina," its subsidiaries, and other individuals. They are charged with receiving and giving especially large bribes, abuse of power, and mediation in bribery, reported the Prosecutor General's Office.

Although the Prosecutor General's Office does not name specific enterprises in its statement, it mentions the production of tires. Therefore, it is clear that we are talking about "Belshina", as it is the only tire manufacturer in the country. The former CEO of the company, Andrei Bunakov, was dismissed in 2022 for signing an unfavorable contract for the supply of large-sized tires to Russia at reduced prices, and in February 2023 he was arrested for a while.
According to the investigation, an organized group operated in Belarus and Russia from the end of 2017 to July 2024. It included the heads of Russian trade missions of "Belshina", the management of the Belarusian plant itself, and a number of other individuals. The investigation considers one of the heads of a Moscow-based tire sales company to be the leader of the scheme.
This person allegedly devised and controlled the scheme: he determined which Russian companies to sell products to, set the size of the bribe — 1% of the value of supplies excluding VAT, distributed roles within the group, and recruited new members.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the amounts of bribes for the required volumes and range of tires ranged from 360,000 to 35.5 million Russian rubles. In total, from 2018 to 2024, according to the investigation, about 560 million Russian rubles were received.
Andrei Bunakov also remains a suspect in the case. He is accused of abuse of power, which caused particularly large-scale damage to the enterprise. He organized the supply of more than 7.6 thousand tires for 80.3 million rubles, while the actual cost was more than 90 million. The Moscow structure then sold these tires with a markup of at least 93.7 million rubles.
During the investigation, six defendants entered into a cooperation agreement, but two failed to comply with its terms.
Interestingly, after being released from the pre-trial detention center, Bunakov managed to work until December 2024 as the head of the company "Marine Terminal "Portarctic", which is building a logistics hub near Murmansk.
