In October 2026, two large-scale military exercises will take place in Belarus under the auspices of the CSTO. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

It is planned to hold the command and staff exercises "Unbreakable Brotherhood", in which peacekeeping forces traditionally participate, as well as special exercises "Barrier" involving troops of radiation, chemical, and biological defense. The exact dates have not yet been named.
In total, about 60 different events are planned within the framework of the CSTO in 2026, eight of which are command and staff and special exercises.
In March, a strategic staff training of the joint staff and secretariat of the organization will take place. In September, "Rubizh" exercises will be held in Kazakhstan, and in September-October, "Interaction", "Search", and "Echelon" maneuvers are planned in Russia. In October, special exercises "Cobalt" and "Skala" will also take place in Tajikistan.
In 2025, 61 events were held within the framework of the CSTO, including joint exercises and staff training sessions.
The members of this organization include Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Armenia, although the latter has not shown enthusiasm in recent years and has generally stated its intention to withdraw from the CSTO.
