Most "women's" streets in Belarus are named after Krupskaya and Tereshkova
On the eve of March 8, the National Cadastral Agency reported after which women streets in Belarusian settlements are named. Most often, the famous women honored with such a distinction are not Belarusians.

According to the agency's data, the most common "women's" street names are as follows: 71 streets are named after Lenin's wife Nadezhda Krupskaya, 49 — after the Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, 46 — after Komsomol member Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, 40 — after underground activist Vera Khoruzhaya, and 35 — after the Soviet pilot Polina Osipenko.
In addition, in various regions of the country, there are many streets and alleys named "March 8". In Brest Region, there are 90 of them, in Vitebsk Region — 8, in Gomel Region — 33, in Grodno Region — 37, in Minsk Region — 39, and in Mogilev Region — 14.
