"This is a great joy for his family and for all of us – those who supported and awaited Andrzej all this time. He spent more than five years behind bars simply because he did not abandon the truth and honestly wrote about what was happening in Belarus. His steadfastness, dignity, and unwavering spirit became an example for all of us.
I am truly happy for Andrzej and his loved ones, who endured this difficult path. I know how much strength and waiting lies behind this.
I thank everyone who fought for his release, especially the leadership of Poland, the USA, and our European partners.
We remember everyone who is still behind bars. And we will continue to work until each of them is home, next to their loved ones," wrote Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
