US and Israel could resume war with Iran "as early as next week". This was reported to the New York Times by sources among officials from Middle Eastern countries.
The New York Times' sources claim that President Donald Trump's closest aides prepared a plan to resume active hostilities before his return from China — in case he decides to break the stalemate in the war with Iran with new bombings.
Another option involves a ground operation in Iran involving special forces, during which troops would have to find enriched uranium, allegedly hidden underground.
However, Trump himself has not yet made a final decision regarding Iran, his aides say.
