"He said he would destroy me because he has connections and epaulets." Ex-wife fights with lieutenant colonel. He was demoted to precinct officer
After one of her posts, Anzhelika was taken "for a talk" to the police. But she believes: only publicity can help. And she tells her truth on social media.
The story is about precinct inspector of the Baravliany police department of the Minsk District Department of Internal Affairs, Aliaksei Hubich.

In 2020, Aliaksei was a lieutenant colonel in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, working in the international cooperation department as a senior inspector for special assignments.
As recently as 2024, Aliaksei attended an ideological lecture for the leadership and employees of the central apparatus and central subordination units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs — listening about the Union State.
And last year he flew to Vietnam on work matters.

According to Belpol, before joining the central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2018, Hubich worked in the Department of Penal Enforcement and the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
But something broke in Aliaksei's career — he was demoted and sent to work as a precinct officer. Recently, the "Prystaličča" newspaper quoted Hubich, who spoke about police work with domestic violence.
If Aliaksei's ex-wife is to be believed, he was demoted due to her appeals; she didn't hesitate to go even to the Minister of Internal Affairs. The woman, who is signed in Threads as Anzhelika Varabyova, tells about her "crusade" on social media.
The love story began beautifully. Anzhelika admits that when she saw Aliaksei's photo on a dating site, her heart skipped a beat: a man with epaulets. Her imagination immediately painted a picture of being like behind a stone wall with a security official. Anzhelika believed that the uniform guaranteed: the man would be disciplined and reliable.
The couple started dating. But their romantic relationship was greatly hindered by the fact that the stern policeman never let go of his mobile phone. And it wasn't about resolving work issues.
As the ex-wife writes, Aliaksei constantly exchanged messages on Viber with his mother and older sister — they had a separate chat called "Family." Throughout the day, the man sent photos there: something like "I'm on duty" and "This is what I had for breakfast." And in return, he received endless hearts and flowers, declarations of love from relatives.
Anzhelika ironically writes that her beloved lived in the system "MVD — Mama Always Agrees" (MVD is an acronym for Ministry of Internal Affairs).
"If he didn't call them five times a day, a 'search' would begin: where he was, who he was with, why he forgot who his main women were," Anzhelika recounts on Threads.
Hubich's long business trip to China became another test of their relationship. Of course, the girl in love expected the security official to rush to her immediately. But his mother and sister demanded that the policeman come to them — definitely for an overnight stay. That time Anzhelika won — Aliaksei's relatives still allowed him to spend one night with the girl.
"At that moment, I almost felt sorry for him. Before me stood an officer who had just returned from another country, but looked like a schoolboy who had misbehaved. In his eyes, I could read a sincere desire to stay with me, but in his pocket, his phone continued to vibrate — the 'Family' chat does not tolerate desertion. It was a strange victory with a bitter aftertaste."
But even on their romantic evening together, the man constantly sent photos to the family chat.
The drama didn't end even before the wedding. The day before the celebration, Aliaksei's sister came to his work and started sobbing in front of everyone. The reason was simple: the groom had spent the previous evening with his fiancée instead of being with his sister and mother: "Look how bad we feel because of your choice! Look how you are betraying us!"

It's not hard to guess that a family life that started this way led to nothing good.
This January, the couple went to court to finalize their divorce, the ex-wife describes. Now Anzhelika accuses Aliaksei of many things: from taking official documents from work, to domestic violence.
The woman claims that for many years the security official abused his wife and daughters, driving the eldest child to a suicide attempt: "When he grabbed me by the throat, I said: 'Hit me!' He said: 'I will destroy you like this, I have connections and epaulets.'"
According to her words, several court hearings have already taken place. Anzhelika writes that her ex-husband lost all proceedings and is now obliged to pay her 15,400 rubles — but is asking the court for an installment plan for two years.

In the comments, the woman reveals that she once visited the Minister of Internal Affairs — after which Hubich received a strict disciplinary reprimand and was demoted in service.
Anzhelika tags the accounts of Belarusian police and Aleh Haidukevich — hoping for their support and writes that there are more true officers in Belarus than those like her ex-husband. And she asks for an educational conversation with the policeman.
Hubich, however, is not giving up either. Recently, Anzhelika recounted that she spent four hours at the precinct — it turns out, her ex-husband filed a complaint against her for disclosing personal data. The woman believes she violated nothing, as an article with her ex-husband's name, surname, and position has already been published by the "Prystaličča" newspaper.
