The purpose of issuing updated banknotes is to refresh the design and enhance the security systems of 2009-series banknotes, as well as to replace worn and damaged notes.
The new 200-ruble banknote will continue the series of updated currency, which already includes denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 rubles, introduced into circulation between 2019 and 2022.
The design of the new note has not yet been officially revealed, but it is known that it will feature certain changes compared to previous versions.
