Alexander Lukashenka and French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation. The politicians discussed issues of regional security and Minsk's relations with the European Union. This contact took place against the backdrop of significant military-political tension in the region.

“Regional problems and relations between Belarus and the EU, and France in particular, were discussed,” reported Pul Pervogo.
Minsk reported that the conversation took place at the initiative of the French side.
These negotiations followed a series of important international events. Last Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the leaders of Germany, France, and Great Britain, where, among other things, the Belarusian issue was discussed. Additionally, last week saw Russia conduct nuclear exercises, during which the delivery of atomic warheads to Belarus was practiced.
