Sit as you sit! How to correctly place the stress in the second person plural?

The stress in the 2nd person plural is determined very simply: it coincides with the stress in the 1st person plural.

If in the 1st person plural the stress falls on the last syllable, then in the 2nd person it will also fall on the last. If in the 1st person it does not fall on the last, then in the 2nd it will also not fall on the last.

we sIt — you sIt (pl.)

we flY — you flY (pl.)

we sIt dOwn — you sIt dOwn (pl.)

we flY — you flY (pl.)

we tAke — you tAke (pl.)

we hAve — you hAve (pl.)

we sIng — you sIng (pl.)

we sIng — you sIng (pl.)

we lIve — you lIve (pl.)

we experIence — you experIence (pl.)

and so on.

You can check the correct form and stress in reference books.

But in the imperative mood, it will be «сядзі! (sit! sit! plural). Therefore, if you've settled down well, you already sit as you sit. But don't spread out or overstay your welcome.
