Fuel Depot Catches Fire in Occupied Mariupol After Drone Attack

Fuel and lubricants likely caught fire after a drone attack.

A large fire occurred in the city of Mariupol, in the occupied part of Donetsk region, after attacks by Ukrainian drones. Footage of the blaze and a huge column of black smoke is being published by local public channels.

The fire broke out on Topolina Street in the northern part of the city. Access to the street is blocked. It is likely that a fuel tanker caught fire or "something more serious," according to social media posts.

The Ukrainian channel Exilenova+ reports that in Mariupol, likely after a drone attack, fuel and lubricants caught fire.

Military observer Jan Matveev also suggests that in the city, "judging by the smoke," a fuel depot might have caught fire.

Petro Andryushchenko, head of the Ukrainian Center for the Study of Occupation, stated on his Telegram channel that Mariupol was attacked by UAVs of the AFU.
