The Belarusian government has imposed a ban on the import of certain Latvian-made goods into the country. This was reported on October 19 by the press service of the Council of Ministers.

The restrictions reportedly cover
“a wide range of goods of Latvian origin, including canned fish, various types of industrial products.”
The Belarusian government explained the decision by stating that, in Minsk's opinion, Latvia continues to adhere to an unconstructive approach and use unfriendly rhetoric towards Belarus.
Earlier, in September, Latvia expanded restrictions on the import of goods from Belarus and Russia. The ban included books, newspapers, and other printed products, clothing, finished textile products, footwear, headwear, toys, games, and sports equipment. These goods of Russian and Belarusian origin are prohibited from being imported into Latvia, including through third countries.
