The restrictions were introduced on Wednesday evening.

This morning, the blocking was lifted, reports hoster.by.
On the evening of October 21, restrictions on incoming traffic not belonging to the national segment of the Internet were introduced in Belarus. The reason for the restrictions was critical PHP vulnerabilities discovered the day before.
According to hoster.by data, two critical vulnerabilities were discovered that could allow attackers to execute malicious code on a web server. Each of them received a rating of 9.2 out of 10 and could affect sites on most modern content management systems (CMS).
As of 9:45 AM on Thursday, October 22, PHP updates with vulnerability fixes for virtual hosting clients have been installed, the company assured.
Security updates were released for the following PHP branches: 7.4, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, and 8.5.
The temporary blocking of external traffic was lifted, and access to services was restored in normal mode.
At the same time, the company warned that support for version 8.2 will soon end.
Clients are recommended to switch to PHP 8.3 or newer versions.
"Be sure to check your website's compatibility with the selected PHP version before installing the security update. If it's not possible to update the project to a version compatible with PHP 8.3+, it is acceptable to use PHP versions 7.4, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, released on October 21, 2026, to eliminate the vulnerability," added hoster.by specialists.
PHP is used to create websites, including those on content management systems like "1C-Bitrix," WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla. Simply put, these are some of the most popular platforms for creating websites worldwide.
