Can a store refuse to sell alcohol-filled candies to minors?
Recently, information emerged that teenagers in Russia have actively started buying Belarusian chocolate candies in the form of "shots" and "bottles" with liqueur or cognac inside, and this has become a problem. In connection with this, the publication aif.by raised the question: can a store generally refuse to sell such sweets to a minor?

As explained by lawyer Mikhail Gorbachev from the Mogilev Regional Bar Association, Belarusian legislation does not restrict the sale of confectionery products with alcohol filling.
Therefore, a store cannot prohibit teenagers from buying such candies. Restrictions apply only to actual alcoholic products, not to chocolate.
However, experts remind: even a small amount of "adult" filling can negatively affect a child — causing poisoning, nausea, or vomiting, as alcohol negatively impacts the nervous system of minors.
The confectionery factory "Kommunarka" also reacted to the situation. The enterprise noted that the candies "chocolate bottles with cognac" and "with liqueur" are produced according to a recipe approved by the Ministry of Health, and control over what children eat is the responsibility of parents.
