Information about Valiantsin Stefanovich's release not confirmed
According to Ales Bialiatski, his colleague from Viasna remains behind bars for now.

"Valiantsin Stefanovich was on the list for release, but it is not yet definitively known whether he has been released," reported the Human Rights Center Viasna.
Valiantsin Stefanovich, a member of the Viasna Council and Vice-President of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), was detained on July 14, 2021, and on March 3, 2023, he was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
He was involved in the same case as Ales Bialiatski and Viasna lawyer Uladzimir Labkovich, whose release was also reported today.
