Ice Fogs Observed in Minsk Upland: PHOTO FACT
Ice fogs were recorded in the area of Novaselle village, Minsk district, writes the Telegram channel "Meteovaibe".
The thickness of complex deposits on tree branches sometimes exceeds 10 mm.
Ice fogs occur when high humidity combines with negative air temperatures. Unlike regular fog, they consist not of water droplets, but of tiny ice crystals.
Settling on objects, such crystals form dense rime and ice — which is why trees, wires, and fences look "overgrown with ice".
