243 Belarusian restaurants and cafes specialize in national cuisine
There are 243 specialized catering establishments in Belarus that offer dishes reflecting the authenticity of regional cuisine. This was reported by Iryna Lishai, a consultant at the Methodology Department of the Trade and Public Catering Organization Department of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART).

"These are traditional potato dishes — draniki, babka, and klyotski. The menu also includes Belarusian soups: kholodniki, mushroom and hearty soups, meat dishes such as machanka and vereshchaka, as well as homemade sausages. Traditional blintzes and oladyi with various fillings also hold an important place on the menu. The assortment of dishes may vary depending on the region and holidays," clarified the MART representative.
Iryna Lishai added that domestic catering networks are actively developing in the country under their own brands. This applies not only to cafes and restaurants in cities but also to establishments at gas stations. Gastronomic venues and street food with entertainment concepts are also being created.
