Blocked ChatGPT accounts linked to Russian Z-channel "Rybar"
They, in particular, generated posts and comments for social networks in Russian, English, and Spanish, which were then published both in "Rybar" accounts and in dozens of other accounts on X and Telegram.
OpenAI published a report on AI abuse, in which it reported blocking a network of accounts associated with the pro-war Telegram channel "Rybar", writes The Bell.
It is reported that with the help of artificial intelligence, "Rybar" accounts:
— generated posts and comments for social networks in Russian, English, and Spanish, which were then published both in "Rybar" accounts and in dozens of other accounts on X and Telegram;
— created videos via Sora to promote "Rybar";
— developed commercial proposals for clients: account management, "journalistic" websites, networks to amplify publication reach;
— worked through REST Media, an outlet linked to "Rybar".
In one case, a user uploaded a REST Media article about Germany allegedly building an influence network in Moldova, asked ChatGPT to generate comments, which were later published by various Telegram channels with a link to REST;
They also used ChatGPT to plan operations in Africa to influence elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Burundi, and Madagascar, including organizing protests on the ground.
The annual budget of the largest project was estimated at $600,000.
