The name of the enterprise has not yet been disclosed, but it is known to be one of the largest producers of oil and fat products. Perhaps a margarine plant is meant.
According to the investigation, the managers took bribes for organizing raw material purchases through intermediaries, as well as for selling products for export at reduced prices. To conceal their activities, they operated according to a "good cop, bad cop" scheme, which allowed them not to arouse suspicion among employees and partners. They divided the received money among themselves.
Earlier, Belarus had repeatedly announced the intensification of the fight against corruption and unjustified intermediation. A week ago, Lukashenko once again instructed law enforcement agencies to severely suppress such violations, up to and including placing suspects in custody.
