It has become known about the release of 35-year-old political prisoner Dzianis Boltuts, who was detained on September 25, 2020. He was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment in a maximum-security penal colony.

Dzianis Boltuts was detained as a suspect on September 25, 2020, as part of a case concerning mass riots. He was later charged under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code — "Group actions that grossly violate public order."
On October 21, 2020, human rights activists recognized Dzianis Boltuts as a political prisoner.
In early February 2021, it became known that Boltuts was also charged under Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code (participation in mass riots) and under Art. 364 of the Criminal Code (violence or threat of violence against police).
On July 2, 2021, he was sentenced to 6 years in a maximum-security penal colony. He served his term in penal colony No. 2 in Babruisk.
