Russian film star and Svetlahorsk native Aliaksandra Bortich has announced a turn in her career. With a pause in filming, the actress decided not to waste time. Now, instead of on screen, she can be found in nightclubs.

Bortich spoke to journalists about her new passion. The actress admitted that she now has free time in her acting schedule, which she decided to fill with music.

The idea of becoming a DJ had appealed to Aliaksandra for a long time, but her busy filming schedule didn't allow her to seriously pursue training. The opportunity arose in the summer of 2025, and her debut took place in a rather unusual location — at the opening of the renovated buffet at the Theatre on Bronnaya, where she works.

Bortich is now actively touring various cities in her new role. Although the actress is quite critical of her musical achievements, the public receives her very warmly.

"I've started DJing, and I really enjoy it. Now I have time, so I'm traveling to different cities. It's great. People are very happy that I've come to them, and I'm happy to perform for them; there's always mutual affection," the actress said.

Aliaksandra admits that her skills behind the decks are still far from perfect, and, in her own words, it's "not great." However, she is diligently working on it and enjoying the process.

Bortich emphasized that she has no intention of fully leaving her acting profession. For her, DJing is a way to recharge and try something new, especially since there are currently no attractive offers or intense projects for her in the film industry.

Aliaksandra Bortich has repeatedly attracted media attention not only for her roles but also for her stance. In 2020, Bortich supported the Belarusian protests, and in 2022, she condemned the war. The Ukrainian website "Myrotvorets" included her in its list of individuals considered a threat to national security for her participation in the Russian film "Viking."

Aliaksandra Bortich was born in Svetlahorsk. After her parents' divorce, she moved to Hrodna, where her grandmother raised her until she was 10 years old. At that time, Aliaksandra's mother lived in Moscow, and later she brought her daughter to live with her.

Bortich loves Hrodna and visits from time to time to see her grandmother and friends.
