Killed IRGC Intelligence Chief — One of the Most Influential Figures in Iran's Security Apparatus
He held the position for less than a year. His predecessor was also killed by Israelis.
Iran announced the elimination of the IRGC intelligence chief, Major General Majid Khademi. He was killed at dawn as a result of a US and Israeli strike.
According to a statement from the IRGC press service, the high-ranking officer died as a result of a "terrorist attack by the American-Zionist enemy." The strikes were carried out at dawn on the general's residence.
The general dedicated almost half a century to service in Iran's security and intelligence agencies. Khademi took over the IRGC intelligence less than a year ago — after the death of his predecessor, Mohammad Kazemi, who was also killed in an Israeli strike.
