Famous Football Coach Mircea Lucescu Dies
Legendary Romanian coach Mircea Lucescu has passed away. He was 80 years old.

In various years, Mircea Lucescu coached Italian clubs "Pisa", "Brescia", "Reggiana" and "Inter", Turkish clubs "Galatasaray" and "Beşiktaş", Kyiv "Dynamo" and Donetsk "Shakhtar", and in the 2016/17 season, he headed "Zenit". At the national team level, Lucescu worked with the national teams of Romania and Turkey.
In the 2008/09 season, he led Donetsk "Shakhtar" to victory in the UEFA Cup.
Lucescu was hospitalized at the end of March after he lost consciousness during a training session with the Romanian national football team. On April 2, he resigned from the position of head coach of the national team. Later, the coach suffered an acute heart attack. On Sunday, Lucescu was placed in an induced coma due to a deterioration in his health. They were unable to save him.
