Less than 10 years ago, Hanna Trubetskaya from Mahiliou was storming popular Ukrainian TV shows and singing songs in Ukrainian. Now she has presented the song "Belarus and Russia".

The rhymes are primitive:

«We live in harmony, visit each other, become relatives,

When we miss each other, we dream of each other.

Love is our element.

We are Belarus and Russia».

There's no talk of the song's wild success: on Instagram, where Hanna has over 27 thousand loyal followers, a video with the chorus received 210 likes and 18 comments in 8 hours, some of which were left by fellow artists.

On Threads, the reaction of outsiders was even worse: 35 likes and 150 comments, most of which were very negative. For example, the comment "The internet is not a dump, why is this here?" garnered 270 likes. In response, Hanna tried to be rude: "If the internet isn't a dump, then what are you doing here?" — but even in this case, she didn't receive mass support.

Other comments from social media users were pretty much the same. Kinder people tried to joke and asked if the artist had lost a bet, having to record such a song. Less polite ones simply posted images of someone vomiting.

Hanna Trubetskaya herself was born in Mahiliou. In interviews, she said that her family was musical — and her father conducted a military orchestra.

With a dream of getting on TV, Hanna went to Kyiv in 2017 — she participated in the 8th season of the popular show "X-Factor". And quite successfully — the Belarusian made it into Nastya Kamensky's team and reached the final.

In 2020, Trubetskaya appeared on the Ukrainian "Voice of the Country" — she was chosen by Tina Karol for her team. And that performance truly became a star moment for Hanna: her contest song was viewed by more than a million people in the first 5 days alone. In the program's final, she presented her own version of the song "Bez boyu" by the Ukrainian band "Okean Elzy" to the audience, but did not make it to the superfinal.

After such success, the singer began to reap laurels in her homeland as well. In 2022, Hanna represented Belarus at "Slavianski Bazaar" and received the Grand Prix there.

She quickly understood the rules of the game in a dictatorship: in 2024, the girl dedicated a song to Lukashenka, which even contained a hint at the events of 2020. Now she is actively involved in propaganda events in Belarus and Russia.
