Svislach in Minsk to be Relaunched
The Svislach river in Minsk is being temporarily "relaunched" due to the construction of the third metro line. The works are related to the erection of new stations, which are planned to open by 2028, reports the ONT TV channel.

During construction, metro builders are forced to work below water level, which creates technical difficulties. To solve them, a special protective structure is being created that allows isolating a part of the river.
The process looks like this: first, one part of the river is temporarily blocked and water is pumped out of it. After that, necessary work is carried out at the bottom – excess soil is removed, the riverbed is reinforced, and a concrete base is poured. Then the water is returned, and afterward, the second part is worked on in the same way.
This is precisely what is called the "relaunching" of the river — its flow is temporarily altered so that construction can be carried out safely.
This is not about ecological changes, but about a technical solution necessary for the construction of the metro under difficult conditions.
