Zelenskyy instructed to clarify details about the truce with Russia

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had instructed Ukrainian representatives to contact the team of the US President and clarify the details of the Russian proposal for a short-term truce.
According to him, Ukraine strives for peace and is conducting the necessary diplomatic work for a real end to this war.
“We will find out what exactly is being discussed: about a few hours of security for the parade in Moscow or something more,” Zelenskyy said.
He also reiterated that Ukraine's proposal is a long-term ceasefire.
Yesterday, Russia proposed a truce for May 9, and the day before yesterday it became known that the parade on Red Square in Moscow would take place without military equipment due to fears of possible actions by Ukraine.
