According to her information, Senator Raphael Warnock blocked an agreement that was supposed to reduce debate time on the bill and accelerate its final adoption.

The Democratic senator also stated that he considers supporting Ukraine to be in the interests of U.S. national security. However, he opposes expanding Donald Trump's authority to impose tariffs because, in his opinion, it would lead to higher prices.

The U.S. Senate began considering the bill on new sanctions against Russia on July 28 — the day of the funeral of one of its authors, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.
