“Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz’s health condition has stabilized, but he needs our spiritual support,” states Father Pavel Eismant, director of the Catholic.by portal, asking for prayers for his recovery during rehabilitation after surgery.
The venerable hierarch, who, despite being 80 years old and suffering from a serious illness, remains very active in pastoral care, visiting celebrations in various parishes across Belarus. On July 22, he was urgently hospitalized in one of Minsk's hospitals due to poor heart examination results. However, almost two weeks of stay there did not bring significant improvement in his health. Therefore, he was transferred to the Republican Research and Practical Center for Cardiology, where he underwent an operation to stent the walls of blood vessels.
Since August 10, the hierarch has been undergoing rehabilitation at the republican center in Aksakavshchyna.
The Archbishop admits that divine providence, thanks to a very timely heart examination performed by doctors, saved him from a second myocardial infarction.
And although the situation related to his heart health has been stabilized, Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz needs the prayers of as many faithful as possible for his physical recovery.
Father Pavel Eismant, who is also the Archbishop's secretary, asks all concerned people to "raise a prayer for his recovery, so that he can continue to actively serve God and people, which he always deeply desires."
