Brave Cat Throws Bold Challenge to Fox — An Incident in Grodno

Foxes are a constant presence in Grodno. They are encountered both in the city center and in private residential areas (where they hunt chickens), but, as it turned out, not everyone is happy about their appearance. On Kaliuzhnaya street, a brave domestic cat tried to chase the forest guest away from a home, reports Newgrodno.by.
The duel was captured on video. The size difference was noticeable to the naked eye, but it didn't scare the cat at all. Getting into a fighting stance, it approached the fox and even forced it to retreat.
And then everything was in the style of boxing matches. First — a battle of gazes, as the opponents tried to break each other's will. Then — a series of lunges and attacks.
However, they were fruitless, as both were quite agile animals. Soon, however, the cat was forced to retreat to a strategically more advantageous position. It climbed a tree. The fox also left the battlefield and fled into the forest.
The cat took a serious risk. In Grodno, there have been several recorded instances where foxes perceived cats as readily available food.
