Louvre temporarily closed due to protests. Students blocked the museum entrance
The date of the student action coincided with the anniversary of the Louvre robbery, which occurred a year ago and consequently plunged the museum into a deep crisis.

On the morning of October 19, students from art and cultural educational institutions blocked the entrance to the Louvre and held a protest in support of the nationwide movement of schoolchildren and students, as well as against police violence, writes Franceinfo.
“We are proud to inform you that we are blocking the world's largest museum,” it was stated in a flyer posted near the Louvre.
The Louvre itself announced that the museum was temporarily closed “due to a student strike”.
