Oil exports from the Persian Gulf recovered almost to pre-war levels

Persian Gulf countries, excluding Iran, restored oil and fuel supplies to 81% of pre-war levels in September. This was mainly due to Saudi Arabia. Iran's own exports fell to zero due to the American blockade.

Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates exported an average of 19.2 million barrels of oil and petroleum products per day in September. Before the start of the war around Iran, this figure was about 23.6 million barrels, Reuters writes.

Saudi Arabia played a key role in restoring supplies. Over the month, it increased exports by 4.2 million barrels per day — to 6.6 million. This growth compensated for the drop in supplies from Iran, Kuwait, and Qatar.

Supplies of crude oil and condensate have already reached 91% of pre-war levels.

The situation is significantly worse with refined fuel, including liquefied gas: its exports have recovered only to 60%.

The reduction in diesel and jet fuel supplies exacerbated the global deficit and pushed prices in some markets to record or near-record highs.

To protect tankers from Iranian attacks, carriers are increasingly using "dark voyages" — switching off vessel tracking systems and trying to navigate the route undetected.

"Daily supply volumes are now much more volatile than before the war. Therefore, the main question is whether the current level can be maintained," noted Vortexa analyst Claire Jungman.
