Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that during talks in Oslo with the participation of U.S. President's special representative Steve Whitkoff, issues of security, energy, and economy in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine were discussed. The Finnish leader made this statement at a joint press conference with the leaders of Ukraine and Norway in Oslo, according to "European Pravda".

According to Stubb, the negotiations took place on two levels: discussing short-term tasks and considering the overall picture of a possible peaceful settlement.
"In the overall picture, we found some elements of peace that will be delivered to St. Petersburg tomorrow. We discussed and defined key elements related to security, as well as the economy. All these proposals were carefully elaborated by representatives of the USA, Ukraine, and key European countries," said the Finnish President.
As for short-term tasks, the discussion focused on air defense, energy infrastructure, and a partial ceasefire, including for ensuring energy and food security.
Stubb added that on Wednesday, Whitkoff will take to St. Petersburg proposals prepared based on discussions between representatives of the USA, Ukraine, and European countries.
"We fully understand that there will be a lot of noise publicly, but at a technical level, we believe the negotiations are progressing very well," noted the Finnish president.
According to him, progress is constantly being made in the negotiation process, although this is not always evident in the public space.
