Spotted deer will now live in the excursion enclosures in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, reported the press service of the National Park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha". Previously, they were kept for several years in the city's living nature corner, but after its closure, the animals began to be placed in other locations. The deer turned out to be the last ones remaining there.

After the situation became known to the public, joint efforts began to seek better conditions for the animals and raise money for their redemption. As a result, the national park management decided to transport them to Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

Interestingly, one of the deer — an adult male — had previously lived in this park, and thus effectively returned to a familiar place.

Now the animals will live under the supervision of specialists: they will be provided with proper feeding, care, and veterinary control. It is noted that they cannot live in the wild, as they have spent their entire lives in captivity, and moreover, this species is not native to Belarusian fauna.
